vaca part 3

We made it to our final destination the night before Thanksgiving (yes I am a little behind but hope to catch up fast!). We came to Utah to help my mom move. After 20+ years it was time for my mom to move into a condo with less up-keep. It was bittersweet. Happy for my mom but sad to say good-bye to a great home! On Thanksgiving we were able to go and see all my family. It has been a loooong time since I've been home for Thanksgiving so it was great to see everyone. We had dinner at my cousins church and afterward played a game of kickball. So FuN!! Here are the teams:
The Snicklefritzes:
And they thought it would be funny to be...

Better than the Snicklefritzes

The next day was moving day. My mom had a great ward that showed up to help out!
fOR THOSE OF YOU THAT KNOW tAYLOR YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT SOMETIMES WE JUST NEED TO CONFINE HER. pACKING WRAP SURE CAME IN HANDY!!

So every moving day has to have a few hiccups...right?!? Well this day was no exception. This is a picture of my little guy Jackson. It is taken through the car window. He is sitting in a nice warm car. All buckled in his seat and ready to go. One problem. He is locked inside and I'm on the outside. Yep I locked my three year old in a running car.
The crew had left to take a trip out to the new place. I stayed home because Carter had just gone down for a nap. Jason called to say they were going to the new IN-N-OUT burger. Well I was not sure what to do, wake up my sleeping one year old and meet them or bag it. I seriously debated for 20 minutes before I decided to go. So I put Jackson in the car only to realize I could not find my keys. So I spent the next 20 minutes looking for them while trying to decide if it was really going to be worth going. Seriously who wakes up a one year old to go get a burger?!? Well apparently I do. I finally found the keys and thought OK I'm going. I start the car since Jackson has been sitting there for like 40 minutes now. I wanted to get the car warm before I woke up my sleeping baby. So up I go and wake him up. Come down and find that the doors are somehow locked. So now I have my Carter resting on my hip since I was so smart and woke him up. The windows were on lock so Jackson could not roll them down for me. I spent the next 10 minutes trying to teach him how to unbuckle the straps of his seat and tried to teach him how to pull the lock up. Well no such luck so I finally had to call these guys in:
Yep that's the firemen unlocking my car for me. We finally got the car unlocked to find out that everyone got there food to go and were on their way home. So I learned a valuable lesson that day. NOTHING is worth waking up your child from a nap. I still got my IN-N-OUT but it was with a one year old sitting on my lap when he could of been sleeping.
That night was our last night in our home. We decided to have one last sleepover. We all blew up a bunch of air mattress in the living room. We sat around and talked about memories. My mom was exhausted and feel asleep right away. We had fun trying to wake her up and laughing at her. The kids thought it was fun to all be in the same room.
Leave it to Aunt Christy to start a pillow fight:

I'm sure going to miss this place and all the memories that it holds! Thanks all for one last night that I will forever cherish!!
After moving day it was time to pack up and FINALLY head home. Our bestest friends who moved to Utah were heading home from Colorado. We ended up being in Evanston within ten minutes of each other so we stopped for a quick hello. It was so fun to see them!! We miss them so much so we will take what little time we can get with them where we can get it.

What a great way to end our trip! I must confess though that I was exhausted when we got home and was looking forward to a vacation from our vacation!!

Vaca part 2...a visit to the Clines

After Disneyland we went to visit Jason's sister and her family in California. WE had a great time. We miss them all so much and wish we could spend more time together. The first morning there was a little eventful. Jason took some of the kids to Robert and Jack's baseball practice. While he was gone I was getting ready for the day. I have this really weird habit of sitting in the sink while I'm getting ready. While I was sitting in the sink I may of stood up for a second. BAD IDEA!! I busted the sink. I'm talking full on broke it. The sink came unattached and fell out of the cupboard and was lying on the floor. Here I am in my sister-in-laws house that I have not seen in ten months, my husband is not around and I have her bathroom sink lying on the floor. Hmm what to do?!? I'm not going to lie, I thought about what kid I could blame for a brief second. But I came clean and fessed up. While I was at the store latter that day Jason fixed it, before I could get a picture...to bad. Thank goodness he could fix it though!! WE had a great time with the Clines. We spent time playing games:
Playing Mario cart:
Eating yummy food:
Having sleepovers:
We had to say goodbye to Lauren and Cailyn at this point in our trip. It was their mom's turn to have them for Thanksgiving so we had to get them home. It was hard to say good-bye!
We got to celebrate Megan's birthday with her. She was so cut and let Jackson help her blow the candles out:
The highlight of the trip was going to the beach. We have been to Cali a lot with the kids but had yet to take them to the ocean. The kids loved it!
Jackson loved all the sea weed:

Jackson thought it was fun to do snow angels in the sand.....HMMMMM

The kids had a blast together! Robert, Taylor, Carter, Bailey, Jack, Anika, Lexi, Megan and Jackson.

It was hard to say good-bye to the Cline's, the beach, warm weather and California. Utah here we come....

RemeMbering tHe MagIc....

....WARNING....WARNING....WARNING....WARNING....

sO we are on yet another family vacation...yes my husband does work and yes this is our LAST vacation for awhile. We are making up for the fact that we did not go on a vacation last year. Think we've made up for it now and made up for next year as well. ANywho we started off our two and a half week long vacation by taking the kids to the HaPpIeSt pLaCe on earth with my family for SIX fun filled days. OK fine we took me to the happiest place on earth. Truly is my happy place. Could live at Disneyland all year long. Oh the magic that I feel there is incredible!! Now some moments are more magical than others so here my friends is my TOP TEN MAGICAL MOMENTS:

#10: Bacon wrapped asparagus....need I say more?!?

#9: Annual hat picture. Every year we all pile in the store in Toon town and all pick out a funny hat. Then we ask one poor worker who happens to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time to take our picture with 24 million different cameras.

#8: The castle all lit up with Christmas lights. It is soooo pretty!!

#7: On our last day in the park we went on a ride while Jason took Jackson to the bathroom. All week long poor Jackson wanted to go on splash mountain but was 1 1/2 inches to short. Magically while I was on the ride Jackson grew the 1 1/2 inches he needed to go on splash mountain!! For the rest of the day the folded up napkins in his shoes magically slipped in and out for him to go on all the rides we had been missing out on. Pure magic!!

#6: One of the most magical moments of going to Disneyland during the holiday season! Every night they have a amazing firework show. Following the fireworks it MAGICALLY starts snowing! It seriously brings tears to my eyes!! SO a very neat story to go along with this topic. When Taylor was four we took her to Disneyland. The weeks leading up to it I had been telling her what a magical experience she was going to have. As we entered the park that day she was so excited to feel the magic. Unfortunately she did not feel it the way I do every time. All day she kept asking where the magical feeling was. By the end of the day I was beginning to feel like I had let her down. After the firework show when it started to snow she looked up at me and said..."Oh mom I feel the magic now!". Seriously I can not sit through the snow falling without thinking of that moment.

#5: Spending Lexi's aka Tink's 5Th birthday in the magic kingdom. Loved it!!

#4: Entering the park on the first day. I'm like a little kid. The night before I can hardly sleep because I'm so excited. I love going in and seeing my kids faces light up. The first day in we all wore our M-I-C-K-E-Y shirts.

So I'm a little nutty. I cry every time without fail as I walk through the tunnel entering the park. That's where the magic hits me. Every time.

#3: Truly a magical moment. It was Lexi's birthday while we were there. She had received some birthday money from aunts and uncles. She really really wanted to buy all her sisters a lollipop. While they were on a ride she went into a store and then made them all close their eyes while she handed them their surprises. What a cutie! Spending her birthday money on something for here sisters...magical I tell ya!

#2: Going and spending time with my family. There is nothing better in this world than being with them. They truly are the magic in my life!

The whole gang: Greg, Ryan, Matt, Jackson, Jason, Kay, Mom, Kelly, Amanda, Christy, Jen, Anika, Cailyn, Me, Lexi, Taylor, Lauren, Kim, Ginni, Breckyn, Kate, Cater and not pictured Jaclyn and Jon.

The #1 most magical moment: Often times the most magical moments can not be captured in pictures. That was the case in this years #1 moment. While we were there my little Carter called me mom for the first time. Why yes it brought tears to my eyes. Could not of happened at a more magical place!!

It was cute little Lexi Lous Birthday while at the happiest place. Seriously, can you think of a happier place to spend your birthday?!? What a magical day for a magical girl!

Look at everyone she had at her Birthday par-tay! Everyone was so nice to come with Lexi and let her choose what she wanted to do first. First stop as at Playhouse Disney. It is a cute little show featuring Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Mandy and little Einsteins. My favorite though was watching Lexi dance around!

Happy 5TH Birthday Lex!
